Calm Visits With Our Fear Free Approach

Anxious or nervous dogs are fully supported the moment they step inside our clinic.

We understand that some pups aren’t keen on getting their nails clipped or being handled by an unfamiliar human.

To ensure a positive experience for both you and your canine, we offer a fear-free approach. Our vet can prescribe light sedatives or a calming medication 1-2 days or a few hours before their groom.

This can help your dog feel more relaxed and make the grooming experience safer and more comfortable for everyone.

Common Grooming Questions We Hear From Pet Parents

Everything you need to know about getting your dog or puppy groomed. Can’t find an answer? Contact our team.

How much does dog grooming cost?

We determine the price of your dog’s groom based on their weight and the service request. The cost for each session typically ranges from $80 to $120.

This depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. On average, most dogs benefit from grooming every 6–8 weeks.

Breeds with longer or curly coats, like poodles or cavoodles, may need more frequent grooming to prevent matting.

Our team at Moffat Beach Vets can help guide you on what’s best for your dog’s needs.

Yes! Many dogs feel more comfortable, clean, and relaxed after a good groom.

Regular grooming also helps reduce irritation from knots, excess fur, or dirty ears.

We often see tails wagging and dogs strutting out of their appointment looking and feeling great!

Grooming is more than just a quick wash. It includes washing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and often styling or trimming.

It takes time and care to do it safely and thoroughly, especially if your dog has a thick coat or is nervous.

We take extra time to ensure your dog is comfortable and never rushed.
